Drawing with black wires – “String Lights”

車窓から流れていく風景を見る。

黒い電線が水平に走る。それは一直線にまっすぐ進んでいく。そして少し方向を変えると、また違うどこかへと向かっていく。

「そんな様子からインスピレーションを得ました」と、”String Lights”の着想について、デザイナーのマイケル・アナスタシアデスは話した。

去る今春のミラノサローネ2014の期間中には、ミラノ市内のフロス・ストアでこのライトを使ったインスタレーションが行われました。

I watched a scenery from the train window.

Black electric wires runs horizontally. It arrived at one point and soon afterward it changed direction a little bit and go on running again and again…

Michael Anastassiades told us “I got inspirations for String Lights from this kind of sceneries”.

During this year’s Milano Salone 2014, Flos presented a special installation curated by Michael Anastassiades for the launch of the new lamps, String and IC Lights.
