Licht und Schatten – Light and Shadow
The Finnish winter is a season of long nights and short days. Darkness reigns – even in the south of the country a midwinter’s day will have only some five hours of daylight. Beyond the Arctic Circle, the sun does not rise for days in the middle of winter.
